Fonteno is a charming village in the hills. It is situated in the province of Bergamo, at the heart of the region Lombardy, 90 km far from Milan only.
How to reach the hotel 1: Follow the motorway A4 and take the exit for Seriate. Then, follow the road SS42 in the direction of Lovere and pass through the following towns: San Paolo- Trescore Balneario- Casazza- Ranzanico- Spinone al Lago- Endine Gaiano- Piangaiano.
At the crossroads in Piangaiano turn right and go ahead for another 3 km in the direction of Solto Collina.
At the crossroads in Solto Collina, turn right again and after 2 km you are in Fonteno.
You will find our hotel on the left, immediately after the sign indicating “Fonteno”.
How to reach the hotel 2: Follow the motorway A4 and take the exit for Palazzolo sull’Oglio. At the exit turn left and pass through the towns of Capriolo, Paratico, Sarnico. Then follow the road running along the lake and go through Tavernola and Riva di Solto.
At the crossroads in Riva di Solto turn left and go uphill towards Solto Collina.
At the crossroads in Solto Collina turn left again and after 2 km you are in Fonteno.
You will find our hotel on the left, immediately after the sign indicating “Fonteno”.
How to reach the hotel 3: Follow the motorway A4 and take the exit for Grumello del Monte. Then follow for Sarnico and take the road running along the lake in the direction of Tavernola and Riva di Solto.
At the crossroads in Riva di Solto turn left and go uphill towards Solto Collina.
At the crossroads in Solto Collina turn left again and after 2 km you are in Fonteno.
You will find our hotel on the left, immediately after the sign indicating “Fonteno”.
Fonteno, a small village with just 600 inhabitants, is encircled by nature, at the heart of a green valley. Fonteno Valley is well-known for its traditional, ancient shepherd’s huts dating back to the 15th century, as witnessed by archaic place names.
The valley offers several routes to be covered on foot, riding a mountain bike or on horseback. At the reception of our hotel you will find a map showing the itineraries and a free bike to borrow for your trips.
